Alotcer-4G module timing (second pulse), positioning solution (Power FTU/DTU scene application)

Project Background


     Due to the accuracy and openness of GPS and Beidou's positioning and timing system, it is widely used in power systems and can be used for fault location, fault recording, status determination, motor excitation and speed regulation, power angle measurement, etc. In terms of protection, it has been used for out-of-step protection of the power system, current differential protection of the line, etc., and also for the synchronization of the integrated automation system of the power grid and the relay protection device. GPS and Beidou receivers can send very accurate time information.




The application of positioning function in the inspection of distribution electric lines can effectively improve the efficiency of manual inspection, making the inspection work true, accurate, efficient and complete

Alotcer:    Communication with the master station through the 5G/4G power network
            Connect to (FTU serial terminal) through RS232 serial port to send and receive data
            Positioning and timing: Obtain the latitude, longitude and time, and pass it to the FTU through the serial port:                      
1. After the FTU obtains the time, it performs time synchronization
2. The FTU obtains the latitude and longitude and converts it into 101 statutes to report to the main station through the module

Alotcer:      to communicate with the main station through the 5G/4G power network
             Connect to the bottom (DTU network port terminal) through the network port for data interaction. The terminal has two TCP connections:
             TCP1: 104 protocols for connection and interaction with the master station
             TCP2: establish a connection with the module to interact with the timing service positioning protocol
                   1. After DTU obtains the time

                   2. The DTU obtains the latitude and longitude and converts it into a 104 protocol, which is uploaded to the master station from the TCP1 channel  



How the timing service works

1. The positioning chip on Alotcer searches for GPS and Beidou satellites to obtain real-time latitude, longitude and time.


2. The FTU and DTU interactively locate and time the protocol packets through the serial port or network port, so that the FTU and DTU can obtain the latitude, longitude and time.


3. After the FTU and DTU obtain the time message, they will synchronize their own time, and convert the latitude and longitude into 101 and 104 specifications and upload it to the main station through the module.


4. And through the Alotcer second pulse pin to further achieve high precision timing.
